Ruth E. McIntyre B.ScN, LLB

Ruth McIntyre has been practicing law exclusively in the field of personal injury law and medical malpractice since 1986. She represents injured persons not insurance companies.

Ms. McIntyre is a graduate of the University of Victoria and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1985. Ms. McIntyre has a nursing background having graduated with a nursing degree (B.ScN) from McMaster University in 1979. She has worked in most departments in the hospital setting including general surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, cardiac care, and intensive care. Ms. McIntyre's nursing background is an asset to her personal injury law practice, being invaluable in understanding medical conditions, procedures and terminology.

Ms. McIntyre is a member of the Trial Lawyer's Association of B.C. She has litigated claims in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal. She remains a member of the registered Nurses Association of British Columbia.
